2. How we use information

3. The Volt AI advisor

When you ask Volt a question, a summary of your battery health and charging habits (numbers only — no contacts, accounts, or personal identifiers) and your message are sent to Google’s Gemini API to generate a reply. AI answers can be imprecise, so each carries a notice and a one-tap report option. This data is used to produce your response; it is not sold and, per Google’s API terms, is not used to train Google’s models.

4. Advertising

The app is rated for all ages and follows Google Play’s Families Policy. Ads, when enabled, are Google AdMob only, rewarded and opt-in (you must tap “Watch ad”; nothing is forced), and shown only in specific regions to non-paying users. Ad content is restricted (max content rating “G”) and personalized ads are not served to children. AdMob may process your advertising ID, approximate location, and device identifiers to deliver and measure ads. You can reset or limit your advertising ID in your device settings. Pro users see no ads.

5. Sharing & third parties

We do not sell your personal information. Data is shared only with service providers that make the app work:

6. Data retention

Battery telemetry is stored locally and can be cleared by clearing app data or uninstalling. Analytics and crash data are retained per Google Firebase’s default retention. AI requests are processed to return your answer and are not retained by us as an identified profile.

7. Your choices & rights

8. Children

The app is suitable for all ages and does not knowingly collect personal information from children beyond what is described here, and does not serve them personalized ads.

9. Security

Data in transit to our service providers is encrypted (HTTPS/TLS). No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we use reputable providers and collect as little as possible.

10. Changes

We may update this policy as the app evolves; material changes will update the “Last updated” date above.
